The West MacDonnell National Park covers an area of \u200b\u200b2069 km \u00b2 in the mountain range of the MacDonnell in Australia’s Northern Territory west of the town of Alice Springs.<\/p>\n
It was founded in 1992 after the government of the Northern Territory had bought 170,000 hectares of land in five regions because of multiple avalanches demolished cattle ranches.<\/p>\n
From Alice Springs park and its attractions are accessible by paved road. From Uluru, there is a road that is passable only with four-wheel drive (well, it’s legally accessible by such cars… but it is really easy drive, the road is just a dirt road).<\/p>\n
