We are already making plans far into the future – and here is a short list of solar eclipse expeditions we are planning (duration of maximum phase is for selected location not for the maximum of the eclipse)
- 2014:
- Australia & Tasman Island – April 29th, 2014 – partial eclipse.
- 2015:
- Spitsbergen & Iceland – March 20th, 2015 roku – total solar eclipse, length of total phase 2:28
- 2016:
- Philippines/Indonesia/Papua New Guinea – March 9th, 2016 – total solar eclipse, length of total phase 3:17
- Madagascar – September 1st, 2016 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 3:02
- 2017:
- Peru/Chile – Patagonia/Easter Island – February 26th, 2017 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 1:03
- USA National Parks – August 21st, 2017 – total solar eclipse, length of total phase 1:57
- 2018
Unusual year as there are no annular or total eclipses, only three partial eclipses and of these none is a deep one. - 2019:
- Peru/Chile/Easter Island – July 2nd 2019 – total solar eclipse, length of total phase 2:07
- Sumatra & Philippines – December 26th 2019 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase3:37
- Oman – December 26th 2019 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 3:01
- India & Sri Lanka – 26 grudnia 2019 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 3:17
- 2020:
- India & Nepal – June 21st, 2020 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 38 sec.
- China & Tibet – June 21st, 2020 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 36 sec.
- Oman – June 21st, 2020 – annular solar eclipe, length of annular phase 50 sec.
- Argentina – December 14th 2020 – total solar eclipse, lengthof total phase 2:09
